3D navigation Mapping software is the core part of each navigation system, the nicest hardware cannot make up for lack of software performance. The software we are using is one of the top ones available in the market and is using NAVTECH mapping material.
GPS receiver/holder: The GPS receiver is integrated into the holder and contains an additionalbattery to charge the GPS independently - unlike other navigations models that can only be used in the car or have a battery life of a half hour. The SJ5287 is fully portable and can be used for navigation and tracking for up to 10 hours. The battery also allows the GPS signal to memorize the last signal received. This means that there are no other cold starts (during a cold start of the GPS receiver it takes about 3 minutes to fix the position) the SJ5287 allows for constant warm (45 seconds) or hot starts (3 seconds or less).
PDA: The PDA has a display of 262,000 colors as opposed to the regular 65,000 in the market. The battery can operate the navigation mode for up to 10 hoursnonstop which makes it perfect for hiking, camping or other outdoor
activities.
